One night, during a sailing trip through the Mediterranean, Sandro (impressive newcomer Matteo Gadola), the only son of a wealthy Brescian entrepreneur, falls overboard. Although he’s given up for dead, Sandro is instead rescued, and finds himself on an overcrowded fishing boat that is carrying illegal immigrants to Italian shores. Thus begins an adventuresome return to Italy, at the end of which nothing will ever be the same…
